A family of four were displaced Thursday night after a fire at their Bloomingdale home, the Red Cross reported.
Chatham County Disaster Action Team volunteers responded to the fire, which reportedly destroyed the home at 505 E. Gregor St. There were two adults and two children, ages 10 and 11 years, who were displaced.
Volunteers provided the family with funds for food and clothing. The family had a place to stay Thursday night and will be provided funds for several days in temporary shelter Friday morning, when they meet with another volunteer caseworker, the Red Cross said.
