A Rincon man was arrested Thursday after Effingham County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered more than two pounds of marijuana and six firearms inside of a residence following a search warrant.
About 4 p.m. patrol deputies arrived at 113 John Glenn Drive in the Westwood Heights subdivision to make an arrest on a probation violation warrant. While at the front door, a subject inside of the residence was talking on speaker phone with another individual who instructed the person in the home not to let the police inside until he came and got his drugs, according to David Ehsanipoor, sheriff's office spokesman.
Patrol deputies secured the scene and contacted other sheriff's investigators who obtained a search warrant. Once the search warrant was executed, more than two pounds of marijuana, several firearms, and other items used to sell marijuana were discovered.
Deputies arrested Andrew Mikell, 19, of Rincon who was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug related objects.
Deputies are currently searching for Holly Skipper, 23, of Rincon who is wanted for probation violation and Joseph Mikell, 24, of Rincon for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Anyone with information on Mikell’s or Skipper’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office at 912-754-3449.
