Three people were rushed to the hospital Saturday night after a two-car wreck on Tibet Avenue that left one vehicle cut in half.
Savannah-Chatham police and Savannah Fire & Emergency Services personnel remained on scene of the crash that occurred about 9:30 p.m. near Largo Road just in front of the Yorktown Place apartments.
One of the vehicles involved ended up with its rear on top of a retaining wall along Tibet next to a utility pole. The front end of the car, from which two people were ejected, according to Miller, halted on the sidewalk more than 50 yard farther down the street.
The extent of those injured was unknown late Saturday night, said Julian Miller police spokesman. Miller said the Major Accident Investigation Team was looking into the cause of the wreck.
