‘Hands Of The Spirit’

Muse Arts Warehouse, 703 Louisville Road. “Hands of the Spirit” is a true story based on the life of the late African-American visionary artist J.B. Murray, an illiterate farm worker who became an artist of international acclaim. This musical is based on a book, “In The Hands of the Holy Spirit: The Visionary Work of J.B. Murray,” written by Mary Padgelek, who was named Georgia Author of the Year in the biography category in 2000. General admission is $20; limited seating available. Registration for Kamp PHUN
Kamp PHUN is a free camp for children ages 9-11 that have a parent incarcerated. The camp runs July 28-Aug. 2 at Honey Creek Camp in Wavley, GA. The camp is also seeking donations. The City of Savannah and Chatham County will hot the 2013 Youth Summit from 5–9 p.m. May 13 at the Savannah Civic Center. Prescription drug drop-off program
Armstrong Atlantic State University has been selected by the Medical Association of Georgia as the Savannah area’s year-round prescription drug drop-off location. The Armstrong Police Department now hosts a permanent drop box for accepting unused prescription drugs, which is in the lobby of the university police building on campus, 11935 Abercorn St. The police department is open 24 hours a day, year-round.
