The Houlihan Bridge in Port Wentworth is open again after a wreck involving a semitrailer, according to the Chatham Emergency Management Agency.
A semitrailer struck a car whose driver was attempting to make a U-turn just before the bridge, said Port Wentworth Police Chief Matt Libby. The semitrailer came to rest after going slightly off the side of the bridge, he said.
The semitrailer's driver was taken to the hospital with injuries that do not appear life threatening, Libby said.
