Savannah-Chatham police are searching for two men and a silver BMW that were seen in the area of a shooting in downtown Savannah early Friday morning that injured two 20-year-olds.
Police want to question the two men, both black males in their late teens or 20s, who were near the intersection of Broughton and Jefferson streets when the shooting occurred about 3 a.m, said Julian Miller, police spokesman.
One of the men, Miller said, was wearing all black with a red baseball cap; the other man drove the silver BMW away from the scene.
Police on Monday said they were looking for another man for questioning in the shooting. Miller said Tuesday that man had since responded to detectives and was no longer being sought.
As many as 100 people were in the area when the confrontation occurred, Miller said.
He asked anyone with information about the case or who knows the identities or locations of the men wanted for questioning or the location of the BMW to call Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
