Savannah-Chatham robbery detectives and FBI agents are looking for a man who unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Savannah back Thursday.
A black male in his 40s or 50s entered the SunTrust Bank branch at the intersection of Abercorn and 41st streets about 2:45 p.m. and handed the teller a note, said Julian Miller, police spokesman. As the teller announced the bank was being robbed, the suspect grabbed the note and left the bank without getting any money.
Miller described the suspect as about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds with a dark complexion. He was wearing a blue hat, a dark shirt with a pattern on the front, jeans and white shoes during his robbery attempt.
