Road closures are planned throughout Historic Downtown on Saturday morning to make way for the Savannah Mile Run.
The event is set for 8 a.m. Saturday. Road closures will go into effect by 7 a.m.
The run will begin near Forsyth Park at the intersection of Drayton Street and Park Avenue. Runners will head northbound on Drayton Street, until reaching the finish line at the intersection of Broughton and Drayton streets. All eastbound and westbound roads intersecting with Drayton Street between Park Avenue and Broughton Street will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Roads will reopen to motorists immediately after the run. Traffic delays are probable. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
