Public feedback sought before adopting new calendar
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has drafted a tentative calendar for the 2012-2013 academic year, and seeks the public's input on the plans.
The highlights of the new schedule include a full week break at Thanksgiving, a full week spring break to coincide with St. Patrick's Day and an additional four-day weekend in late spring.

Parents, teachers and community members are being asked to provide any feedback or concerns they may have about the proposed calendar before a final recommendation is made to the Board of Public Education for the City of Savannah and the Chatham County.
