Attorneys in the federal suit against Savannah celebrity chef Paula Deen on Friday afternoon filed a proposed agreement to dismiss the case with prejudice, which when signed by the judge, would permanently end the litigation that has rocked her culinary enterprise.
The document, filed by Savannah attorney Harvey Weitz who represented Deen locally, cited agreement of the parties and would not award costs or fees to any party.
U.S. District Judge William T. Moore Jr. had not signed the document dismissing the case by late Friday.
