A Bryan County man and woman remain in the Chatham County jail facing charges including aggravated assault following a shooting Thursday at a Pooler gas station.
Timothy Chad Nielsen, 31, and Georgia Nicole Sharpe, 28, were denied bond Friday pending preliminary hearing to be held in the future for their roles in a 2:45 p.m. shooting at a Chevron gas station at the intersection of U.S. 80 and Dean Forrest Road Thursday that left one man in the hospital, said Pooler Police Chief Mark Revenew.
The victim, also from Bryan County, remains hospitalized after he was shot in the upper torso. Revenew said Friday he was conscious and speaking with police investigators.
The two suspects were captured minutes after the shooting on Interstate 16 by Pooler police officers and Georgia State Patrol troopers following a short pursuit.
In addition to the aggravated assault charges, both Nielsen and Sharpe face a count of possession of a firearm or knife in committing a crime.
Revenew said Thursday the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.
