Savannah Country Day School presents Annie, Jr.
7 p.m. Oct.25-27. SCDS Campus, 824 Stillwood Drive, Jelks Auditorium. Savannah Country Day School presents Annie, Jr. starring the students of the SCDS Middle School Drama Department, Directed by DJ Queenan; Musical Direction by Warren Heilman and Choreographed by Muriel Miller.

Over The Sugar Hill Club meeting
12 p.m. Oct. 25. Carey Hilliards, 11111 Abercorn St. The Over The Sugar Hill Club will hold a meeting Oct. 25 at Carey Hilliards. The meeting will be to elect officers for 2013-14, two-year term. Sugar Refinery retirees and their guests are encouraged to come meet, greet, and vote for their choices.

Artist William Schaff at Marc Jacobs
5-7 p.m. Oct. 25. Marc Jacobs, 322 W. Broughton St. Come one, come all! William Schaff will be signing copies of his new book, “From Black Sheep Boys to Bill Collectors” Oct. 25 at Marc Jacobs on Broughton Street. Meet the man responsible for some of the most recognizable album covers in the last decade or so. He’s done artwork for Okkervil River, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Songs:Ohia, Dreamend, Monster Movie, Kid Dakota, Mighty Mighty Bosstones and many more. Additionally, there will be “acoustic” performances by The Casket Girls & Triathalon.

“WOOF” OWEEN Fall Arts Festival
4:30-7 p.m. Oct. 25. Courtyard and bus ramp at Islands High School. Don’t miss Islands High School’s “WOOF” OWEEN Fall Arts Festival on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Islands High School. There will be a costume contest for dogs along with face painting, photo booth, fall themed arts and crafts, and other entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the Fine Arts Department at Islands High School. Admission for Adults is $10 and children 10 and under are $5.

Legal Career Information Fair
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 25. Savannah Technical College, 5717 White Bluff Road. Savannah Technical College’s Paralegal Studies department will host a Legal Career Information Fair that is open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the College’s Savannah Campus in the Academic Commons Building, Room B126. Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run/Walk
The 2nd Annual Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Savannah is just around the corner. This community event is a great way to kick off the holiday season by doing something fun to fight the nation’s leading cause of disability. The festivities begin when registration opens at 8 a.m. at The Islands YMCA on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Classes at the Coastal GA Center

Drive-thru flu clinic
11 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 24-25. SFC Paul R. Smith Army Education Center parking lot, Fort Stewart. The 5th Annual Fort Stewart Drive-Thru Flu Clinic is scheduled for Oct. 24-25, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., both days in the SFC Paul R. Smith Army Education Center parking lot, which is located at 100 Knowledge Drive, just outside the Fort Stewart main gate. All military beneficiaries, federal employees, military retirees and their family members over the age of 2 years old are eligible to receive the vaccination free of charge. No appointment necessary.

Building Arts Lecture Series

Architectural Digest’s former contributing editor Jeffrey Simpson and noted Italian architect Andrea Ponsi explore the evolutionary process of design and the roles of precedent, perception, patterns and sensibilities in the built environment. Documentary screening at AASU
7 p.m. Oct. 25. Ogeechee Theater, Armstrong Atlantic State University. “Nefarious: Merchant of Souls,” a documentary on contemporary international sex slavery, will be screened Oct. 25 at the Ogeechee Theater at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Produced by Exodus Cry, a faith-based anti-trafficking organization, the film is sponsored locally by Savannah Working Against Human Trafficking and the Hispanic Outreach Leadership at Armstrong.
