One of two women injured in a two-car collision on Chatham Parkway Tuesday has died from her injuries.

Saadia Zambrano, 43, a soldier at Fort Stewart, died Thursday in Memorial University Medical Center, Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman, said Friday.

Just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, West Chatham Precinct officers and the metro Major Accident Investigations Team were dispatched to Chatham Parkway for an accident. After an initial investigation it was determined the driver of a black Nissan was traveling northbound on Chatham Parkway in the right lane when she came across the southbound lanes striking a red Subaru that was traveling southbound in the right lane.

Zambrano, driver of the Subaru, and Patrice Clarke, 27, of Savannah, driver of the Nissan, were transported to Memorial for treatment.
