Dozens of senior citizens got Halloween off to a bit of an early start Wednesday at the Bryan County Senior Citizens Center in Richmond Hill.
Brenda Garrett Richmond Hill Senior Center Site Manager said it was the group’s 3rd Annual Halloween Party.
“We are going to put some music on and start dancing. We love to line dance. We are going to eat and have a Halloween costume contest,” she said. “They are very original; they come up with their own costumes. We take it very seriously.”
Soon witches, Zorro, Little Bo Peep, as well as an assortment of other characters could be seen dancing in front of the center in the windy autumn air.
Garrett said events like the Halloween party help keep the seniors active.
“We are a very active senior center, we like to have fun,” she said. “We use any excuse to have a party.”
