UPDATE: As of 4:30 approximately 200 spaces were left in downtown parking garages for Saturday morning's start of the marathon.
UPDATE: AT 4:20 p.m., traffic still was flowing easily across the Talmadge Bridge on and off Hutchinson Island.
The only logistical hiccup for the Rock 'n' Roll expo temporarily was a long line at registration, but it's been taken care of.
Ferries continue to go back and forth across the river as well.
UPDATE: Traffic flow still is good on the Talmadge Bridge and on and off Hutchinson Island as of 3:05 p.m.
The 500-passenger River Queen was put into service at 2:15 to alleviate overflow on the river ferries. There's a 15- to 20-minute wait at the Hyatt landing.
Update: As of 2:10 p.m., traffic on and off Hutchinson Island still was not an issue. Ferries across the river are busy.
Three are running right now, handling about 400 people per rotation, 10,000 runners still have to check in by 7 pm.
As of 1 p.m., traffic was flowing smoothly over the Talmadge Bridge, even with the Rock 'n' Roll Savannah Health and Fitness Expo under way on Hutchinson Island.
A year ago, traffic was backed up all the way across the bridge and into downtown Savannah as runners and others made their way to the International Trade and Convention Center.
For those wanting to use the ferries to go back and forth across the river, there was about a 10-minute wait as of 12:50 p.m.
