A new film involving the history of Beach High School in Savannah is looking for alumni to interview.
From 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 9, alumni interviews will be conducted at the school auditorium, 3001 Hopkins St.
“A Legacy Forgotten: Blue & Gold Pride” is the story of A. E. Beach High School, which broke through the wall of segregation to win the first integrated state basketball championship in Georgia. Featuring Larry “Gator” Rivers, the legendary Harlem Globetrotter, the film reunites “Gator” with the other living members of this historic championship team.
“I am excited about this film shoot," said director Miller Bargeron. "It will be the night before the big homecoming game against a big crosstown rival, and many alumni will be back in Savannah for the homecoming festivities. I hope many alumni come out and tell the world what the legacy of A. E. Beach High means to them.”
The film is being produced by We Came To Conquer Entertainment LLC in association with Bezalel Productions. Production began in February. For more info, email info@wecametoconquer.com.
