Southside firefighters take third annual B&D Burger Guns versus Hoses eating challenge for charity
Southside firefighters Friday afternoon won the third annual B&D Burgers Guns versus Hoses burger eating challenge against the Savannah-Chatham police.
The departments squared off to see which five-person team could have two men finish a three-pound burger at B&D's new Congress Street location.
B&D pledged a $1,000 donation to the chosen charity of the first five-member team to have two men finish. Southside’s chosen charity was the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, which helps burn victims treated at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta.
