A Savannah man on Wednesday was indicted on murder and related charges in the death of Melithia Singleton who was found dead on her bed on Halloween by her two small children.
Thomas M. Jackson, 43, strangled Singleton, causing her death, the Chatham County grand jury determined.
The victim, 36, was found dead in the master bedroom of her Bradley Pointe apartment by her children, ages 8 and 11.
The grand jury, in a three-count indictment, also charged Jackson with felony murder by causing Singleton’s death during the commission of the felony of aggravated assault and with aggravated assault by strangling her.
