An armed robbery took place at the Parker's convenience store at the intersection of E. President St. and Pennsylvania Ave. early Tuesday, police said. No one was hurt.
Savannah-Chatham Metro police spokeswoman Gena Bilbo said officers arrived on the scene shortly after 3 a.m. to talk with witnesses and look for evidence
One armed robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, Bilbo said. The store reopened for business by 6 a.m.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crimestoppers hotline at (912) 652-3560.
